ULTRASOUND ABDOMEN/DOPPLER

Ultrasound abdomen/doppler refers to a medical imaging technique that combines abdominal ultrasound with Doppler ultrasound. It is a non-invasive procedure used to evaluate the organs and blood vessels within the abdomen using high-frequency sound waves.

During an ultrasound abdomen/doppler examination, a sonographer or healthcare professional applies a gel to the abdomen and uses a handheld transducer to emit sound waves. These sound waves bounce off the organs and blood vessels in the abdomen and create real-time images on a monitor. Doppler ultrasound, a specific feature of this procedure, is used to assess blood flow within the vessels.
