​Speech therapy, also known as speech-language therapy or speech-language pathology, is a healthcare profession that focuses on the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders and swallowing difficulties. Speech-language pathologists (SLPs), or speech therapists, work with individuals of all ages, from infants to older adults, who experience challenges in speech, language, voice, fluency, or swallowing.
